What if my video doesn't appear even after I have uploaded it?
Before being live on the Stop Knives Young Filmmakers website, all videos will be pre-moderated by our staff to ensure content is appropriate for our audience. We cannot guarantee your video will be on the site the same day it was uploaded.
Our website uses the latest software to compress and convert most file types to ensure that these can be displayed on screen. However, depending on the file type, the length of time varies.
If your video is still not displayed after 48 hours, then there may be an error with the file type. Please check your user account for messages and then email administration with your query.

Video clips can be very large in size. Check the size of your file by right clicking on it (alt clicking if using a Mac with a one button mouse) select 'Properties' ('Get Info' on the Mac) to see the file size. The file size will be displayed as Megabytes or MB. If the size is more than 10MB you may be better to open the file in a video editing program to reduce its size. See here for more information on how to do this.
What file formats do you support?
You can upload the following file formats, AVI, MOV, WMV, MPEG, MP4. If you have a file in 3GP or any other format you will need to open it in a video editing application and save it in one of the above formats before posting it.
What if my video isn't displayed correctly?
During the compression process, the level of quality will be reduced (this may be worse if you have attempted to upload a file in excess of 10MB). If there is an error when your video is viewed then we suggest that you re-submit your video, and if the problem re-occurs then email administration with details of your problem.
I can't view videos?
Make sure that you have Flash 8 on your computer so that you can view all videos. If you don't have Flash 8, you can easily download it for FREE from the Adobe website

If the administrator decides that the video content is acceptable then the clip will be returned to the site.
If someone repeatedly marks videos as inappropriate, that the administrator deems acceptable their membership will be terminated.
